Wizard Week: Daniel Radcliffe Upcoming Movies and Musicals

Even if J.K. Rowling were to write another Harry Potter novel, Daniel Radcliffe refuses to play The Boy Who Lived ever again.
"Oh God, she promised me categorically that there wouldn't be another book involving Harry.  I think ten years is a long time to spend with one character."
So what will he be doing?  Quite a lot, actually.  In March 2011 Daniel Radcliffe will return to Broadway, but this time in the revival of the musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying

"How to Succeed" promotional poster.
The show is about a man named J. Pierrepont Finch who begins as a window-cleaner and rises to become the Vice President of Advertising at the World-Wide Wicket Company through morally-questionable means.  Although DanRad's been on Broadway before, in the play Equus, this will be his first time singing and dancing publicly.  The show is directed by Rob Ashford, who said of Radcliffe, "He's singing every day with a vocal coach in London and I've got my assistant putting him through his dance paces every other day.  I'm covering all bases with Daniel--and he's delivering."

Should be fun to watch!  Although, I don't think he'll be naked in this one...

And as far as films go, he's got a few projects in the works.  In one of them, The Woman in Black, he'll be playing a young lawyer who goes to a remote village to organize the papers of a deceased client, where he discovers a ghost.  The movie looks like it will be a horror/thriller.
"The Woman in Black" promotional still.  Isn't it weird seeing him look so un-Harry-like?
He'll also be appearing in The Journey is the Destination and a remake of All Quiet on the Western Front.  He's also rumored to star in an adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks novel The Lucky One.

Looks like we'll be seeing a lot more of Daniel Radcliffe!
